Hypnotherapy is medically accepted to benefit the above and more. Hypnotherapy can help bring you lasting relief.

Can anyone be hypnotised?

It is a fact that no-one can be hypnotised against their will and even when hypnotised, a person can still reject any suggestion.

Thus therapeutic hypnosis is a state of purposeful co-operation.

Is it safe?

When carried out by a professionally trained and skilled hypnotherapist, the benefits can be long lasting and often permanent.

It is natural and safe, with no harmful side effects.

About Neuro-Linguistic Programming

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) was initially developed from therapy, and then developed further by Richard Bandler and John Grinder.

It also offers communication and educational opportunities. Communication starts with thoughts and we use language, spoken and body, to convey these thoughts to others. When we think about the things we see, hear or feel we recreate those sights, sounds or feelings in our minds. If you think about an monkey, you will probably recreate your personal experience of an monkey from your memory.

If that experience was pleasant, say during an enjoyable trip to a circus or safari park, then the feeling that is recreated will be pleasant. If you were practically trampled to death in the dark by an evil-rogue, then clearly the created feeling will carry overtones of panic, revulsion and fear.

Therefore, all memory is affected by the feelings related to the original experience, which created it.

One of the many uses of NLP is to 'adjust individual memories by dissociating them from the feelings they are 'attached' to. This is often done by encouraging the subject to create a picture in his or her mind which was pleasant associations; in the monkey example above, this might be a picture yourself on a tropical beach, playing with a friendly baby monkey in the warm sun.

NLP can also be used to change unwanted behaviour patterns such as nail biting or overeating, to improving sporting performances such as tennis, golf, or skiing, to improve co-ordination, to dispel phobias such as fear of spiders or flying, it can enhance the skills of counsellors, help build or repair relationships, remove blocks to personal growth and development, build confidence and reduce stress.

Testimonials

"Following on from the loss of my Job my self confidence had become very low and I had in essence lost myself and where I was going in my life. I had been receiving treatment from Nayana for other ailments and she suggested hypnotherapy may help.

After the first session of hypnotherapy I felt like I had awoken from the best sleep I had ever had and felt revitalised.

In the days after I felt more positive within myself and more in control of things.

I have begun to realise that it was a fear of the unknown that has been holding me back some what and I have begun to address this slowly."
